The journey to match readiness was marked by numerous challenges, including the discovery of a live 15,000-volt electrical transponder and buried sewage lines, which forced the team to make significant workarounds. Despite these hurdles, the venue was transformed in record time, with the square being laid as late as March 22.
The statistics from the seven MLC matches hosted at the venue were encouraging, with an average first-innings score of around 160. The pitches, prepared by veteran curator Damian Hough, held up well, and the stadium's infrastructure was put to the test.
