The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has opened applications for the post of Chief Executive Officer to manage the Ayodhya Ram Temple. The deadline for submissions is July 18, 2026.

The Trust, which oversees the temple’s operations, announced the vacancy on its official website and social media. Candidates must be graduates from a recognized university with at least 20 years of experience in administration or finance. Additional requirements include being an actively practicing Hindu, with preference given to Ram devotees from the Vaishnava tradition.

Eligibility and Responsibilities for Ram Temple CEO

Beyond professional qualifications, the Trust seeks a candidate with integrity, honesty, and strong leadership skills. The selected CEO will handle day-to-day administration, implement Trust decisions, supervise staff, and coordinate religious and civic activities at the temple complex.

The appointment is for an initial term of three years, with the CEO required to reside in Ayodhya during their tenure. A search committee will review applications and conduct interviews, aiming to finalize the selection within a month of the deadline.

Context and VHP Stance

The announcement follows public scrutiny over temple donations, with the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) emphasizing that the Trust should independently determine the selection process. The VHP has also opposed suggestions that the role must be filled by a retired bureaucrat, asserting that the Trust alone should define qualifications.
